Are We Still Playing?
As I'm sure that we're all aware, World Of Warcraft has been going for many years now and is one of the most popular game ever made. Everybody will have played or at least heard of the game, even those that aren't fans of this genre and over the years it's gone through many changes in order to try and keep it on top of the pile, but is the end in sight now for this game and are people finally starting to fall out of love with it?

A lot of the older players aren't fans of the latest changes, and the new fans don't seem to be as loyal with many other alternatives out there to choose from. Is World Of Warcraft finally beginning to feel dated and old despite the changes, or can it carry on and be saved?

The thing is that the game has been around for a long time, there's even the movie now, so not many games can say they are as notorious as this. Surely that this hasn't stopped millions to stop playing, as we just want engaging game play. The expansion Legion brings the needed changes, and the unlock of special abilities can certainly make the game appealing for many again.

I am, but not as much as I once did or I think that others still do. I hope that some people are out there still enjoying it at least a little bit, and yes the expansions help.

Time moves on obviously, and every game no matter how popular it's been will have to undergo changes to try and keep it ahead of the newer releases. I just think that with World of Warcraft the developers have made too many and have forgotten the older players, the ones that have been there from the beginning.

I'm glad people are still playing, and I'm pleased that even now, all these years after it was first released it still seems to be attracting new followers. Maybe I'm just set in my ways a bit and preferred it ho it used to be.

Yeah, that's the issue with expanding and adapting, if we make too much changes we might end up with a whole new game, and if this is engaging to new players, the game simply lost touch with the base of players that made them great to start with, and that's what they are now trying to go back to.

I think that WoW will eventually die off. It's been in a steady decline for years now. The developers can try to revamp the game again and again, but there's only a few changes you can pull off before it becoming a completely new game, and if they're making something entirely different, why not just make a new game instead of changing WoW?

I don't think that it's the developers' fault though. Every successful game will surely die off. People get bored doing the same thing again and again. There is no way the developers can launch interesting content as fast as the players consuming that interesting content. People will eventually get bored and find new games. The new game doesn't have to be better--it just needs to be different.

I agree that it will eventually die off, but something tells me that it also has one or two last hurrahs left and will go out with a bang. I could be completely wrong though and maybe it will just cease to exist, but I just doubt it.

It's not the same game at all. I don't play very often any more, but I've been tempted to login lately, because I do miss it. I had a lot of fun playing World of Warcraft over the years.

I still login and play on my Veteran account once in a while, just to get a little lowbie PvP action. I miss real twinks too though. Just the art of making one was a lot of fun.

How is the PvP in Legion? Has it gotten any more balanced?

Of course, after Legion expansion many old players came back, who are back to be around 10 millions subscription.

It seems that in the latest patches there have many complaints, but I do not know what has changed.

They always get a bump after a new expansion releases, but it won't last. They don't even report sub numbers any more (or at least they weren't, last I heard), so I have no idea how many are actually active accounts. The last few times I've been on, it felt dead.

Well, I'll have to go check the official forums I guess, to see what's up. There are always complaints, but sometimes more than others. They tend to have an OP class/spec for a while, and then they change it. The ones who were playing flavor of the month get mad. Any others who get nerfed will be mad too. I've yet to see a really balanced PvP season yet.

I have played this game in the past but now have lost interest towards it. I don't know what happened to it as it has been in the top in the list may be because of the other new games that are constantly being released.

I am not playing regularly now that I have moved to the clash of clans. And it seems like there are some other games coming too. But WOW remains the favorite when you have friends playing. So that can be really good option for anyone who is into the gaming. I can tell you that in time things have changed a lot of games too. I just moved to clash of clans these days as it is more time saving than DOTA and WOW.

Yes it definitely forces you to play in aggressive mode. Also it teaches you co-op habits. Which is not something regular for most of the games. I have found out that some of the games are worth playing in troop. I have played it with my friends alot. Not sure what you mean by the effective, each to their own though.
