Ironically, Epic has made Fortnite just like a roller coaster – he thought himself was going to quicken up and sprout towards the peek, but soon you will find out it’s actually going downhill again. This scenario couldn’t be more fit for Fortnite 5.40 Update Release.

1Why Fornite is Going Downhill

Ironically, Epic has made Fortnite just like a roller coaster – he thought himself was going to quicken up and sprout towards the peek, but soon you will find out it’s actually going downhill again. This scenario couldn’t be more fit for Fortnite 5.40 Update Release.

However, we should acknowledge that Fortnite Tech support must take most of the credit on how to torture consumers in a peaceful and efficient way. It looks like what the sole expertise they acquired is to create more bugs for every patch, and that is how they keep their jobs for good. Let's take a look at the whole story, shall we?

2Fortnite 5.40 Patch and New Bug

Today it’s the date of Epic launching new patch for Fortnite again. Although the new patch was considered, at least what Epic flattered itself about, as the most effective and miraculous magic wand to wipe out all dogged and unresolved bugs, glitches and other tech obstacles in Fortnite. It did not cure what chronic disease that Fortnite has been haunted by since its birth: Relapse and continuous discovery of new “Bug continents”.

Right after Epic launches the V5.40 patch, someone posted a thread on Fortnite Reddit community, to elaborate a load problem in Fortnite he’d been through on his PC. To convince Epic and other Redditors of the authenticity of his accusation statement, he uploaded and published a short video to corroborate, which indicated abnormal longer time and screens that took during the login period – he did not even make it to the game page yet. Here is the original thread that Wezdor, the accuser, had posted on Reddit:

Hey EPIC, let's talk about the fact

3Course of This Event

The best part happened regarding this complaint thread is in the arena of comments. Reckoning the crisis couldn’t come along as an isolated incident, Epic employee reported this to the tech support and responded swiftly as they were working on a solution urgently:

On the other hand, hundreds of participants and viewers had seconded the complaint by claiming they’ve been in the same or even worse situation as well, coming up with all sorts of methods to resolve, yet few turned out to come off.

It is kind of platitudinous that someone claimed he is about to abandon the game for good under the harassment of flood-out malfunctions and breakdowns over and over again. However, players won’t be apathetic if it’s based on truth.

4Epic Fix

After several hours waiting and urging, Epic finally released a “long load time fix” to cope with the bugs temporarily. Although it didn’t seem to a generally suitable cure regarding its efficacy analysis, Epic is committed to working on another patch to fix this and others once for all.

Long Load Time Fix

We won’t fall for that tale anymore. But there is still one question remained: Does Epic have its tech support as the reinforcements dispatched by monkeys?
